Dog hair.
Plus a milk crate stuffed with tow straps, a raincoat, tie downs and CDs I got tired of listening to.

Carpet! I have one of the Contico boxes from Walmart with tools, jumper cables, a drop light, recovery gear in it, 50 rounds of my favorite ammo, AR-15, etc. My Lobo shelf has all sorts of creature comfort stuff, MRE's, blankets, add'l first aid kit, trekking poles, 2 way radios... Basically enough to stay alive for 3-5 days if SHTF, and handle most minor to medium vehicle problems. Oh yea... there's duct tape and bailing wire as well. edit: When clicking this thread, I was fully expecting photos of a large woman's posterior.

A stickball bat, tennis rackets, a mesh bag of stolen tennis balls, a cooler, and a large footlocker (with extra first aid stuff, car cleaning stuff, road safety stuff, bottled water, things like that). This way, if I have to unload my X to store something big, I can just take the footlocker out and that's that.

Under the shelf I have two plastic ammo cans with recovery gear, spare parts, tools, patches, bottle jack, lights, jumper cables, tie down straps, cordelete, fuses, WD-40, PB Blaster, some spray paint, hammer, saw, crowbar, hatchet, bolts and hardware, etc. A craftman tool set (100 + piece). A tray with more stuff. On top or to each side my Hilift, a ridgerest, jackstands, maglite, some laundry, a few pieces of steel tube.
Above in the Lobo are blankets, tarps, the big first aid kit, fire extinguisher, platic sheeting, golf discs, TP and paper towels.
A heavily supplemented stock first aid kit.
I know I've got more back there, usually some laundry and a muddy boots, the last pack i wore, gaiters, trekking poles, climbing gear, ERG, NIOSH, Driver's handbook, cordless drill/driver...
I carry too much stuff...
