Hehe, and I'll say it again...FORD!

I have a manual transmission. The 1st to 2nd gear synchro baulk ring came apart and the pieces of it seem to have taken out a few other things. I'm still driving it, but the transmission could lock me in or out of a gear at any time and it is definately not operating normally. Getting another transmission from a '99 Frontier put in next week.

For those interested, my plan is to keep the old transmission and rebuild it so I will hopefully have some pictures of what all went wrong internally.
