I use a product call MX-7 It is made here in Hawaii and is very effective on spots. I used it on my 95 Pathy that was completely covered in spots when I bought it and I have also used it on my X. It contains no abrasives so multiple applications are safe. After you get the spots removed, polish with Meguiers # 7 to remove any swirls and the use a good wax to protect it.
