The stock skid plates are some of the thinnest I have ever seen. One moderate wheeling trip and they all collapsed. I wont even do a hard trip until I get a skid plate package. Its kind of a shame, but I think its because they struggled to meet fuel milage standards, even on the 05 X. Only reason I can explain putting on skid plates so thin splashing water might bend them
