Back in the '70's, when I did part time work as a photographer with a partner...shooting modeling portfolio's for girls was fun.

Its all about finding the light that shows them best...every girl, no matter how plain or cute, has an angle to shoot from with good lighting where they look great....and it becomes their favorite picture of themselves, etc.

It was also a great way to get into bed with them, but I figure you are probably not into that particular angle at this particular juncture in time....
