I had a slightly different problem with my '01 XE Cd player couple times. All of a sudden it would crap out and repeat or skip a track, it goes on until you pull the CD out and the cd gets extremely hot. It is not related to a bad CD (I verified that the disk is ok), it happened to 3 different ones. I tried the CDs that had the problem at different times and they worked fine.

I suspected that its related to a heat issue, because it all happened when the engine was hot from a long drive. I talked to the dealer but they wanted to see it before they can help me.

Did anybody else had the same problem?
