Because that's where I'm from. The St. John's, Newfoundland part of Canada. I've made the trip from Newfoundland to Texas 5 times. First getting here in my little 90 Mazda 323, Up and back with a 90 Montero 4X4 in the winter of 1997/98 and more recently in 2001 with my 2001 Xterra 4X4. 8500 miles or so round trip...really nice way to spend a 3 weeks. Week up, Week down and a week with the family. I traded in the 2001 Xterra for the new one. Will probably make the trip again.
