Yup... Dual batteries. Both under the hood. Long, multi-step proccess.
I haven't had an issue yet with the rear. I loaded it down pretty good back in March and went from here to Scranton PA. Lots of construction and deep dips and what-not. As far as off road, the fronts scrub slightly turnung & under compression, but I've never heard the backs rub.
