why is the xterra so slow right after i get off from the stoplight and just right when it starting to cross a bridge... its slow when it's trying to go up at first. what can i do to make it more faster? anyone know? thanks!

That's just the way it is...The Xterra is a very heavy Truck and needs the HP's to complement it...which is does'nt ('00-'04 Xterra's) overall it makes it very underpowered...the '05's have 265 Hp's...

intake, exhaust...all that stuff...
or shoulda gotten the supercharger, or trade in for 05...

The Intake/Exhaust does it drain your mpg? I dont think I can take another hit to that.

Just curious...did you actually drive your truck before buying it? That might have been a better time to discover any such concerns.

You can add that stuff untill you are blue in the face and you still will not have a lot of power. It sounds like you did not put enough thought into your decision to purchase.

I did not purchase it, my xterra was given as a gift... so i didn't have much choice, but I'll look into the performance board and read more when I have the time!

A gift, I hate to say it but stop your squaken. You could sell it and by YOUR OWN CAR.
