Dropped my truck off at Jim's place in Houston this weekend. He is going to use it to fit skids and rear bumper for the 00-04 X's.

I like his work and am looking forward to the results. If his rear bumper is better than what I have I will buy his and sell mine...

I already have the skidrow gas skid... not sure if he will replace it or not. If so it will be available too.

Guess another few weeks of not driving the X again frown

Hopefully it will be done by the DX (and possible club meeting) at Barnwell in early August!

I could really use both a gas tank skid and a rear replacement bumper.

Please let me know if you end up wanting to sell these!!!

EDIT - Hmmm... wonder how the bumper would work with my body lift... it might not frown

Roger, if you get rid of your current bumper, I want DIBS!!! laugh

I can't wait to see what Jim comes up with.

EDIT TO ADD: Shit, I didn't read Glen's response. Well, if he decides against it, let me know.

Jim promised I would have it back for the DX run.

Glen, the bumper is already modified for the 2" BL I think you could make it for the 3"

The bumper was made by Fabritron in Dallas for Carlton. It was one of the first for an X. I am more than satisfied as was Carlton. I think there may be a pic of it on SWXC.org

OK, Jason you have second dibs on the bumper. However I am pretty satisfied with it. So unless Jim comes up with a real nice setup and good price I will probably stay as is.

Does anyone know for certain whether or not Jim will be making a version of the rear bumper for 2" body lifts? It seems as though he would, since this applies to his front bumper and sliders...just trying to prioritize my mods. laugh

My truck has the 2" BL so I would guess he will make a design that can support the lift. Jim is pretty busy but he may chime in here. If he does not I will ask him when I talk with him.

Ditto. Im waiting to see what Jim has got up his sleeve before I buy Skid Row.

My lack of patience bit me in the but before with some other mods.

I pick it up this Friday so I can make the Wakeboard tour in New Braunfels. He gets the first cut back from the laser cutting today and maybe the rear bumper by Friday.

He may need another truck for final fittings or I can get mine back to him after Destination Xterra run. As it stands we are not sure about my "beta" skids and bumper. Won't know till they are fitted back on after initial cutting.

I will keep you posted!!!
