Are the rear axles from a 2000 xterra and a pathfinder interchangeable?

My xterra at the mechanic right now for one wheel bearing and the rear differential bearing, and the numbers on it are showing for a pathfinder. Did they use pathfinder rears on xterra's in 2000?

I think Steel City X had the same problem with a bearing seal and came to find out that the part was from a Pathy. Here's the thread:

I believe that some parts are compatible, but I thought I remembered reading about different widths. Let me try and get a measurement on my 2000 Pathfinder...

Someone else with the Pathy bearings.

Mine worked just fine with the pathy bearing/raceway assembly.

So, I was not losing my freakin' mind.

So, mr Nissan assembly line worker, what else have you swapped out!!!
