I just bought a new Xterra and I'm loving it!!! I'd love it even more if I could hook up the aftermarket stereo I just bought. I bought and Alpine deck, iPod connector (the one that allows me to control and charge the iPod through the deck), and the Sirius satelite stuff. The two placed I've tried to get it installed at have informed me that no one makes the kit or harness required to install it. Has anyone installed an aftermarket stereo in an 05 deck? If so, please give me details.

first thing you should really do a search for what you are looking for. there already has been a lot of information on these forums about the 2005 head units and most likely already answered.

I am guessing your new to the Xterra forum seeing as you have an 05. People will always get angry with searching since just about everything has been convered. We all make the mistake no worries. Which Alpine did you get, I have the cda-9827 with Alpine speakers and an infinity bass link in the back. Great choice with the Alpine I have loved mine thus far.

I got the cda-9851. I'll replace the speakers soon.
