I have been looking at installing a set of skid row skid plates, but according to their web site, they require some drilling to install. Can anyone tell me how long they took to install and what they think of them. I have also noticed Calmini offers skid plates, however theirs are significantly smaller. Are theirs still just as effective.

What r yalls recomendations?

Took me about 1.5 hrs to install my plates the first time. Yes you do have to drill a few holes. If you have a couple of c clamps handy it makes the job a whole lot easier.

Calmini does not sell belly skids for the X, just a gas tank skid (same size) and a diff skid (small and not offered by Skid Row).
Install is pretty simple, no need for any trepidation. Skids perform VERY well, no room for improvement really.

Get 'em, they are absolutely worth it.

You only have to drill a few holes. They are worth it. I've had mine for over two years and they have taken a lot of abuse and saved me from damaging my X. laugh

A floor jack to hold the skids in place when you are drilling the holes and tightening everything really helps as well.
