i was think about running straight pipes on my x and drop in a k and n filter do you guys think this will sound good want the truck to sound more like a v8 and maybe even get some headers

I think it will sound like crap. And I bet you'll lose performance and mileage too.

just get dual pipes and flowmaster mufflers. straight pipes are not necessary. take it to an exhaust shop and have them do a custom job rather then buying a kit.

save yourself the headaches and just trade up to a titan. it will sound like a v8 because it is..and the factory muff is kinda loud. I think you'de like that (if i had to guess) wink

LOL Yea, I tried a High Flow Muffler and it sounded like crap! And was kinda sluggish. I put factory back on.

Now I have a soundtrack of a 68 Camaro with Headers and Turbo Mufflers with Duel exhaust that plays on my CD, I use a set of headphones and link the volume control to the RPM gauge. Now when I go fast it plays loud and sounds Like a 350 V8! Just what I wanted! JK MC
