Not sure if you guys are going to be able to answer this but here goes.
I thought that I saw 2001 interior seats having a slight blue tint to them. I'm not sure if it was a special option or what.
I'm looking at 2003 interior seats right now and they REALLY show a blue likeness to them. All down the middle and even on the doors.
Now I dont think the 2001's had something that showy but did it ever have any kind of seating option other than the normal gray that I seem to see in all of them?

I have a '00 SE, and my seats are Vinyl (as opposed to fabric). They're pretty friggin cool because they're waterproof for one, and on the front captain chairs it says "Xterra" stitched into the seats. I've never seen another X with seats like mine (although I haven't exactly stuck my head in too many other people's X's either).
If you can find an X with those Vinyl seats, I'd certainly take them over the fabric. But that's just my .02

Weird. The 2000/2001 models had a "dusk" interior color which was a slightly bluish grey, and 2002+ have a plain grey that is a little lighter. Otherwise, there has been the Sage (khaki-like) color and the charcoal (black) but that's it. Anything else would have been aftermarket. For 2003 there have been some factory "rugged leather" versions, I've seen just one myself.
Lots of dealers a couple of years ago were offering "extreme edition" Xterras with aftermarket leather seats and interior trim with the Xterra logo stitched in the seats. I've never ever heard of anyone doing vinyl seats on an X.

I knew it wasn't just me that thought these trucks had different seats! Oh well, I just bought an Xterra today, it has the greyish color but it has a slight tint of blue on it.
That's good enough for me, but the other seats you guys were talking about sounds pretty cool!

Well, I can't be for certain they are vinyl. They may be leather, however my wife drives a Lexus with Leather seats, and I've had two jeeps with Vinyl seats, and my Xterra's seats feel more like the Vinyl than they do the leather. They have a leather look though. It just feels...harder than leather, so I figured they were Vinyl. Maybe they are leather afterall.
