Sure, they're more convenient. That's why Nissan puts them on.
Unfortunately (IMHO

) they're weaker, and I don't like the fact that they're always popping and clicking as the torque flow reverses. It's creepy, and worries me.
I've heard of a few Land Cruisers that also came with "Auto/Manual" hub-locks too. They weren't renowned for strength either, but they also weren't a disaster.
