Matt and I are planning on a week long trip leaving the Bay Area and heading north on 5 for Vancouver, BC. on Sept. 17. We plan on making it to Vancouver in one day to catch the early evening ferry to Vancouver Island. (Mapquest says it's only a 13 hour drive to Seattle) We'll spend at least two full days on Vancouver Island before making our way to Victoria and taking a ferry to Port Angeles. From there we will make our way home via the coast highway ending up back in San Jose hopefully by the 25th. We'd love to have fellow travelers join us, that's why I'm posting this now. A birth certificate and photo ID or just a passport are required to enter Canada. Your vehicle insurance company will issue you a non-resident liability card for you if you ask. Photography is the main purpose, of course we'll look for wheeling oppurtunities but not go out of our way to find one.
