Please let me know! I've got 17k on mine and it's been in for pilot bushing, throw out bearing, front hubs, and other things they didn't replace (windows, mileage, etc.). I'm also going in again today to finally get the PCV valve and vacuum hose assembly replaced since it was leaking oil from the hose on top of the intake manifold. Anyway, back to that tranny, mine whines terribly when cold and sometimes locks me out of gears...[/b]
As it turns out there will probably be a change in plans. I didn't realize it before, but the wrecking yard has a core charge if I want to keep the transmission. I will probably let them have it so I don't have to spend more money, but I sure would like a look inside! I will make a decision probably Monday on keeping it or not. Just so curious!

Hopefully the '99 Frontier transmission I bought is OK. Supposedly it has 24K miles on it so it should be, but you never know. The 2000 transmission they had was only $50 more but had more miles on it.
