At the border:

1. If you don't have the title you will need a letter from your bank stateing it is OK for you to take truck into Mexico.

2. You will need insurance in Mexico for the duration. I buy mine for the exact days I will be there and it's usually about $40.00

3. You have to pay a Visa / travel fee. If I remember correct it's $20.00 but may only be $10.00

4. You need a passport or Drivers license is OK with Birth Certificate.

5. For the vehicle registration they require a $400.00 deposit. You will need registration and proof of insurance. They will swipe a credit card as a deposit. If we return via another crossing and don't report they will charge you. We never have an issue.

6. Spending money is your deal. I don't believe I have ever used more than two fillups on their side. Larger stations we can use CC. You should have Pesos but they take US dollars too. I think $100 in each currency is plenty. Maybe if you are a shopper bring more.

7. I plan on a hotel at least one night but rooms can be shared and not real expensive where I stay wink

8. We need normal warm camping gear and food. It's easier crossing back with none left. I give my leftovers to the villagers.

9. I have never needed for anything in my trips beyond more Pesos and I just borrow or trade them for US if needed.

10. We can run close to no stations in range so I suggest a full spare can on top. If we get away from government owned gas you may want octane booster but I have never needed it.

CALL or Email me if you can / want to attend or may help with donations!
