The install turned out pretty nice. The only things that I don't like are:
1) The lights are aimed a little bit higher than I'd like - and I haven't come up with a simple way to fix this yet
2) The bracket that I made is a tad flimsy - so the lights/beams jiggle around a lot - especially now that I've got all 4 instead of just 2.






I particularly think the first one w/the XOC sticker and just-visible XTERRA seat cover logos is nice...

I also kind of like the last one - where you can clearly see the dim lines of the fogs, the brights, and the offroad lights.

Now if I can just retake all of these when it's somewhere more interesting than the driveway...

Couldn't get the "more info" link to work. What kind of lights are they? Just KC Daylighters? I've been toying with the idea of roof lights. Thinking about 2 IPF driving lights in the middle, then maybe 2 fog's on the outside. If I do it, I'd like to find a way to get them a little lower so that the bracket is hidden more and you just see the lights themselves.
It looks good though! What are you using the PA for? Most people I know try to fit it under the hood(which I guess is a little tight in the Xterra).

I went over to Becky's place tonight (it's sort-of in the country... there are neighbors but they are 100 yards away or so) and blasted her front house windows with all 4 (yep, they're done!) 100W lights while saying "Come out with your pants down" on the PA...

We all ( had a couple of friends w/me ) thought it was pretty damn funny - but the people 100+ yards back behind me somehow heard it... and, of course, heard "come out with your hands up".... and called her landlord (who lives on the same 10 acres right around the corner) telling him that the cops were there etc. So they came over to see what the hell was going on.

They thought it was funny, when I explained - but still a little embarassing.

To answer your questions:
The lights are Blazers from Auto Zone ($20 each :rolleyes: )
I had wanted to do 2 flood-type wide beam lights for the outside two - and angle them off to the right and left of the front of the vehicle to light up the sides better... but I just ended up using all tight-beam lights because they were cheap and that's all they had.

There is a picture floating around of a guy who made cutouts in his air dam for the lights to shine through - looked really cool.

I don't have a real use for the PA other than getting in trouble. I was originally wanting to put it under the hood - but I couldn't find a good spot (plus I've got a new bumper on the way - so the free space under there is about to change anyway). I like it in the gear basket because I could zip-tie it on for a great temporary installation, because it is partially hidden, and because it will really project well from up there.

The lights really look good uup there, Glen. And I liked the way you mounted the PA. Once again, thanks for helping me install my cb and calibrating the antenna . Maybe down the road, though, I would like to hook the cb into the fuse box, rather than the quick cigarette lighter power source thingee we did, but that's for another day. Works great, by the way. haven't really heard much feedback, like you mentioned I might.

I am on my way to getting a set of lights. While down at 4wheelparts downtown, I did pick up two Pro-Comp 100 watts lights (they're bigger than yours, Daniel ) for $29 each. I'll get the next two next month or so and will need help on the install. Slowly but surely, she's coming along.

By the way, 4wheelparts downtown Dallas had never heard of our club or our discount, but I printed the sponsor page from swxc, on the chance they had no idea, and they went ahead and gave me the discount.

TO LOWER THE ANGLE OF THE LIGHTS TRY CUTTING A WASHER IN HALF AND PUT IT ON THE BACK UPPER SIDE OF THE MOUNTING BOLT. IT WORKED GOOD ON MY OLD JEEP CJ5.
