I thought the law was beaches are considered streets, speed limit 30, and 4x4 reccommended or required on certain parts...

and at no time are you to drive through the dunes, just on the flat beach section...

Can't remember where I read that... it was online however.. maybe when I was searching for "texas offroad" or something...
