Yeah - they're cool .

They have a "customer appreciation BBQ" once a month - which happens to be this Friday (~5pm 'till 8 or 9pm) if you can make it out... free burgers, dogs and sodas.

I probably won't be there this time - but a couple of TNT guys with Frontiers will.

Well a PML is only adding shackles and an AAL in the rear and cranking the t-bars in the front. It shouldn't take that long to do it maybe an hour or two at the most but that would be if you are doing it for the first time. They should be able to do the work with no problems.

I know that you said that your dad wants to get a warranty on the work which I guess is the install but not sure if or how they would warranty anything if a part broke. You could always save yourself the money and do it yourself or do a mod day.

If I am following you correctly you are asking about the AAL and shackle?

Go here for the A AL and here for the s hackles .

The only thing to remember when cranking the t-bars is to allow at a minimum of 1/4 between the bumpstops so that you will not cause your CV's to bind on ya when you go into 4wd.

Remember that a PML is either Shackles OR AAL in the rear. Not both. Both makes the full lift in the back and you wont match the front without lift UCAs.

Just get the shackles and crank the bars for now. Then get an alignment. Should cost you 50-100 bucks depending on how much you get charged for the alignment.

My advise to you is forget about paying a shop to do a PML for you. #1, if you are getting into modding, and wheeling, you need to know how to work on your own truck.

Join, Southwest Xterra Club, meet some new friends - that will be happy to help you do the mod, and learn alot about working on your truck at the same time.

A PML is simple to do and there is nothing to break unless you forget to put a bolt or nut in or something foolish like that [Freak]

Save your money on install labor for your next mod [ThumbsUp]

Right. Forgot to mention that one. Thanks man. [ThumbsUp] If you need help in doing it I'd be willing to give ya a hand. Shackles are super easy to install. Only takes a couple of minutes to swap out and the t-bar crank only takes a couple of minutes as well. Unless you plan on upgrading to the bigger t-bar then that part of the mod is free and won't cost you anything. The biggest thing is to start hitting those bolts with PB Blaster or something like to get those bolts nice and loose when you do the mods.

alright thanks to everyone with all the help. alright got two more things if no one minds, # one which is better to get AAL or shackles, and is it worth to replace the tbars with bigger ones, also sorry one more, ont he web site it says the AAL give 2.5 inches of lift, and the shackles are only 1.5 can i match the front with the AAL.

thanks to everyone and i will hopefully see everyone next mod day

and ill probroly have more questions as time goes on...i try to not have so many

thanks

It all depends on what you want to do. You can even out the truck more so with just shackles then with the AAL. The AAL will give you more of the ass in the air kind of ride. I had both on mine when I had my 03 but it was 2wd so I didn't have the CV's to worry about. It looked great and loved it. The thing is with the shackles you can get away with stock shocks as they don't lift the truck up that much where you might need longer shocks with the AAL's. One thing to remember about the AAL's is that they will settle out so that 2.5" is an estimate in my opionion. (sp?) They have a tendency of flatting as time goes by so the lift goes away.

You can stick with the stock t-bars for a while. You will get good use out of them. I believe that most of the guys here go for the bigger ones when they add a front bumper and winch to the front ends. Also you can only go so far on them before you will need to reindex them but that will be later down the road for ya which is pretty easy.

I also sent you another pm in regards to that question about that off road shop.
