Trina and I are planning on it. I would just recommend finding gps coordinates of some of the more challenging trails. Does Roger have any? I checked with Carlton and he doesn't have any tracks of anything. Last time I was there we never did find anything difficult and that was before I was lifted and locked.

I'm gonna try my hardest to make this trip. I'm trying to buy a house too so we'll have to see how that goes first.

I'm thinking about going. I've done quite a bit of off-roading in those hills on the Arkansas side, but never in OK. I do have a very detailed Ouachita National Forest Map with all the logging roads, campsites, and hiking trails on it. I also have a Weyerhauser Map of logging roads in the foothills of Arkansas, which I think extends to Broken Bow (I'll have to double check), however they gated most of the entrances to these roads in Arkansas and now lease the land for hunting. Hell, they probably make more money from hunting revenue than logging now. It still pisses me off though.

Andy - It was about 7 hours from Austin the last time I drove it. Well worth the trip, though. Beautiful area. I wish I could make it, but I've already got plans that weekend. Have fun.

From what I understand, the trails are not all 2s (see swxc.snopes.com) That assumption would be like driving around DFW and saying all of NE TX is 2s. It just happens the times people went they only found twos. BB is HUGE, you just gotta find the right places.

The only map I know of is the one off the swxc yahoo page.

But that is all moot, we are looking at going to Clayton instead.

Are you going Griffin? Is ANYONE interested? Not just *maybe*, but definate?

Gonna have to postpone (ie cancel for this weekend) the joint run; sorry. Seems only 2 of us (total from both clubs) can make it. Let's hold off until a time when more can come.

Katemcy is happening for sure.

There are two toobin events; it looks like the one on the 10-11th of July is gonna be the biggest. Never heard back from Clint about the 17th. Chia is also working on having a club funded BBQ on the 10th; all he needs are participants.
