The whole system is flawed. Oil shouldn't be traded as a commidity. If a popular analyst comes out and predicts that gas prices will go way up in the near future, then they do...just because of the reactions based off of their predicitons.

The gas prices should be based on how much it costs to produce the gas, not on what it is trading at.
