I was wondering if anybody has replaced the bushings on their front sway bar? I took mine off this weekend and noticed that the bushings are "pinched" together on one end. Just wondering if there are different materials that the bushings come in, if so, are some better than others? Where can you generally pick them up? I am gonna go by 4wheelparts after work and see what they have and say.
By the way, taking off the front sway bars make all the difference in the world. It's like night and day. I was able to walk through Clyde's Ravine no problem (last time I had some problems), no wheel spinning, up Twister and down Washout. Gonna take them off everytime from now on.

It's still "Whatever" for the time being... Oh - you've got a PM on AC

I have quick releases on my front sways. Bought the bushing and bolts as a kit at Autozone. Abiel got me the handles at Grainger. Check them out if I ever get out again Have worked fine... I can send pics if you need them.

Any info or pictures you've got would be great. There are a bunch of old topics on this - but it seems like there is also a lot of argument about what will/won't work and what will/won't work but cause damage.

I would love to see pics of that. Anything that would help to get on the trail quicker. I would like to have that, or a similar quick disconnect setup.

I will take pics and post them as soon as I can. It's pretty easy if nothing is bent up already.

Just get some energy suspension bushings at Autozone. They seem to hold up a bit better. John

Hey Roger, guess what? I found the pics you send me, uploaded to my album and here it is: Roger, no problem with that gap between second bushing and SB? Guys, regarding front SB disconects, my only concern its the SB hanging down there. I read something (I don´t remember the sources) about that it is risky to drive with the SB loose, that there is a risk of get bent tie rods because of impact of SB with TR. Instead of a quick disconnect, they said that its better to remove the SB... What are your experience regarding this? take air,

Craigs Tonka came up with a great solution a while back. I dunno' how to add the link, but search in the suspesion forum under "front sway bar disconnect". It's the third one down I think. Aboot a $10 fix. Works great too. ![[ThumbsUp]](graemlins/thumbsup.gif)
