In fact the receipt issue is the new cash cow for trial lawyers seeking a big payday against retailers. Scores and scores of lawsuits are being filed all over the country for hundreds of millions of dollars against all types of retailers in the hope of making a killing for lawyers (of course consumers will pay this "lawsuit tax" in the form of higher prices if these suits are successful).
