Not sure initially what to make of it, but I did add it to the fav's if I want to read political stuff.

At least it doesn't look overrun with Paulbots.

I love Paulbots. It's entertaining to watch people confuse TALKING about taking action with actually taking action.

They think posting youtube comments about how everyone should vote for Ron Paul to other people who want to vote for Ron Paul is actually getting somewhere.

Well when you look at it that way...

The only thing I think I would change on the site (that I've run into, my preference anyways) is the comments left by posters need to be visible without having to click on them to read them.

I find the comments to be most entertaining/frustrating/inferiorating/etc., but hate to have to spend a lot of time waiting for pages to come up on the slower connection at work.

BTW - almost all the adverts are blocked at my work.

Usually when a web site starts up and claims to be "bipartisan" and/or willing to give you all sides of the political spectrum, more often than not it is a fraud.

Politico.com was supposed to be such a site, but it hasn't worked out that way.

When you check the domain registration for redblueamerica.com it is registered to the Rocky Mountain News. That is a very liberal newspaper.

Considering the site is run by a mainstream newspaper and given the history of other political websites that initially claimed to be a hub of all types of political thought, I wouldn't hold my breath on this site delivering on that promise.

REALLY? Do you read the RMN? It's called the Republican Mountain News in these parts. The Denver Post is the more left-leaning paper in the Colorado market.

Sure. I check it out from time to time. The litmus test of a newspapers ideology is it's opinion and editorial pages and the RMN is definitely liberal.

I don't disagree with you regarding the Denver Post.

If people call the RMN, the Republican Mountain News, then that means they are pretty left of center.

Denver, as most urban areas of the country is liberal and Democrat.... as are it's newspapers.

RMN is owned by Scripps Networks. We're not hard liberal (but we have a lot who work here) but I wouldn't call it conservative either.

Dont judge the site until we see where it goes.

I'm not prejudging the site, but based on the history of other sites that try or claim to be bipartisan, or one stop shops of political ideas, I wouldn't bet any money on it offering a wide range of ideas.

Especially since it is a site from a mainstream media organization.

Their newspaper division or Scripps Howard News Service really doesn't offer much from the best authors and writers on the right. It's hard to imagine any website they run to offer anything different.

I'll check it out from time to time. A quick peruse of the site finds an immediate link to Andrew Sullivan. If that is what is supposed to be what they consider conservative or right of center, they couldn't be any more wrong and only validates what I stated.
