That may not be so true. Up here in Canada (Northern Alberta), there is over three times the amount of crude oil than there is in Saudi Arabia. Of course it's locked away in the tar/oil sands, so it's harder to produce. Also, there has been a new very large deposit found in the Gulf of Mexico just recently.
