People like to bash the Catholic Church because it's a no risk, sitting duck target. Nevermind all the good the church has done, there's always little things like the "Spanish Inquisition" (for you Monty Python fans) and the crusades to give critics ammunition. But unlike radical muslims, the Catholics aren't going to suicide bomb a shopping mall or highjack an airplane full of innocent people and fly it into a building filled with innocent people. No, instead, the Catholic church lobbies for causes it believes in, takes care of the sick, the needy and the poor.
