I wanted to be in communications repair. Cellular, Line of Sight (SHF etc.) Figured I'd work for a cable or phone company some day.
Ended up becoming a Network Engineer/Systems Administrator and I also command and deploy portable satellite communication systems for our (MSHA) Mine Emergency Operations group throughout the US. It's pretty cool, and though most times somber, getting out of the office and actually going on rescue/recovery missions really breaks up the "office" lifestyle Grayham is so fond of.
Pays pretty good too...
