Is there such a thing as a chart or reference guide to the various sizes of bullet casings?

Reason I ask is that years ago, I used to have a copy of an old article about how some old timers used bullet casings as tools when making gaskets, marking areas to be drilled, etc. In the piece it had a list of a bunch of different calibers and their respective sizes, but that's long gone and my cursory search on the Internet hasn't turned up anything yet. I'll dig more online later, but just thought I'd ask around here as well.

I remember they work great, just a few quick taps and you had a precise hole in the gasket material. If anyone can point me in the right direction, that'd be great. Thanks.

Here is a link to a bullet sizing chart with both metric and standard measurements. Not exactly sure if this is what you are wanting but hope it at least helps.

Just remember... bullet size/bore size/caliber are all the same measurement. The "neck" of a bullet casing is where the casing is actually crimped into the bullet and I think this is the measurement you are looking for right? And then using the bullet casing as a punch?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caliber#Metric_vs_Inch

Scroll about half way down the page and it gives you a complete sizing chart of popular calibers.

Thanks, that helps.

Yes, the idea is to use the casing as the punch to get a clean cut hole, or even a scribe when mocking up hole placements in aluminum plate.
