Earlier tonight there were about a half dozen loins in the area. That brought out a couple of truckloads of safari types and the lions were active.

The one laying was pretty excited with all the comotion. I thought I heard noises when the trucks were hovering around him but I couldn't identify them.

The camera is actually pointed behind where we normally see and is panning the area. There is a herd of wildabeast to the top right of the watering hole that doesn't seem to be very nervous about lions being in the area. I'm guessing that as it starts to get towards midday, it's getting hotter and he's feeling the heat.

Hence the heavy panting.
