As most of you know and (don't) care I like many others got rid of my X so I can afford to eat after my 80+ mile daily commute. I'm starting to think..once SUV's flood the market will it be cheaper to buy another one? I'm curious as to what everyone's time frame is on when either A. SUV's will be a dime a dozen or B. Gas prices will go down.

For you, never again, m'kay?

A - Sometime

B - Get used to gas prices. We will never see sub $3.00 gas ever again.

Yeah, you count on that. Buy it and enjoy your $5.00 a gallon and 13 MPG. Gas prices will not see an average of under $3.00 a gallon ever again. SUV's are on their death bed with life support barely keeping them alive.

Read finance or business reports much?

80 mile commute? Is that one way? Wow, I couldn't handle giving 1-2 hours a day just to drive to and from work.

Yeah, one way. It's not fun but my house is being built closer (Cuts in by about 1/3) and it's a family business. If it survives this economy it will be a good provider for my family.

I've heard the "experts" talk about this both ways.

I've heard some of them say that we can expect $10/gallon before too long.

I've heard other experts say that the oil prices are a bubble much like the housing prices last year. The bubble will burst and the price will settle down some but that we will never see gas for under $2/gallon again.

It's impossible to predict for sure which way it will go because you can't predict when exactly supply will start to out pace demand again (if ever.)

I look forward to that day, when everything collapses. People will simply stop driving to work, food prices will spiral out of control. Good times and eventually a dead nation. Time for a coup to overthrow our clueless government and start drilling on the OCS.
