Never thought I'd have much to say about politics, but I met Fred Thompson this afternoon. He came to Bluffton to have lunch and make a couple of appearances.

Initial impressions... very nice man! I appreciate the fact that actually looks you in the eyes when he talks to you. Also a very confident speaker... didn't have any problems answering the usual questions... immigration, taxes, etc.



Sorry if the pic's a bit fuzzy but I had my coworker take it with my Treo.

On a side note, I overheard someone who met Rudy Guillani a couple of months ago say "Rudy's got the same talent Bill Clinton does. He'll answer your questions by telling you exactly what you want to hear, when its over you're not exactly sure what the answer means, but you'll wind up feeling good." Now that's interesting!
