Well my Nissan dealer kept reminding me, about the important 1000 mile service.
I asked them why, when Nissan reccomends first service at 3750.
They said its just an oil change and filter, and want to make sure everything is tight and fluids are okay.
Since I got the car, I have had a number of small problems(7 to be exact), and they kept telling me wait till 1000 mile service and take care of it. The service would be free.
One problem was a blown fuse, that had been out, and I had been running with no tail lights for three weeks without realizing it.
So I show up on the appointed day and time, relay the problems to them, and they immediately complain on why didnt I immediately bring the items in for fixing.
I said your service contact said to take care of it at first service. They were very gruff about it.
I get the car back, about an hour and fifteen minutes later, and said nothing was founded about my other issues, and the oil change was completed.
I am not happy about the service. I know for a fact they didint check certain things, as I purposely left items in certain conditions to see if they were looked at.
Example 1) Engine fuse box was left undone, and cover just left on top(To see if they actually looked at fuse I had to change)
2) Windshield reservoir cap was cracked from day one, I left it undone, and the service record shows, it was checked and nothing wrong. It was still off, when car returned, leaving me to believe never looked at.
Little things like this, leave me to believe, I was shortshrifted. Sometimes its nice to be able to talk with the mechanic for a minute directly as oppossed to talking to a service writer, who is not a mechanic, but just a keyboard inputter.
I will be bringing my x, to a different dealer for servicing next, and not the dealer where purchased. They have plenty of mechanic.
s and bays and a clean shop, but I need to be able to trust that the service is looking at what I need to be looked at
Stay safe
