I think what you have in mind is:

A) Time consuming
B) Will be Frustrating and tedious (connecting all the wiring and switches)
C) expensive. (I have no idea how much an SE Dash will cost, but I can imagine its not going to be cheap)

How experienced are you with a "dash-swap"?

All this considered, is it really worth it? You aren't really gaining anything (practical) from the SE interior over the XE interior. That sounds like alot of work just for a cosmetic upgrade.

Also, where are you gonna find an SE dash? the junk yard is hit and miss, and the dealer is gonna screw you in the cost for parts.
