The exterior still screams "small wang" and it costs WAY too much for what it is. That I5 motor really sucks - its a pretty new design and GM had to have known about the Nissan and Toyota V6 engines on the horizon. They blew it on that one. Supposedly a blown should be released after a year or two, but then you'd be at over $40,000.
That said, I wish the X had those approach/depature angles, stock tires, and especially the locker. Luckily the '05 will solve the locker problem.
