did you have it in 4wd when you were in reverse? i dont think i fully understand what this is all about. if my hubs are locked and i shift out of 4wd, then make the vehicle travel in the opposite direction they unlock. i'm not sure what the case would be buried in mud or not but i assume it would be the same.
