It wouldn't even sink the state, it would just turn it to rubble then everyone would be whining about how they lost their homes and they didn't "know" they live on a fault line and somehow it's the governments fault! It's just like all the people that live along the Mississippi river and have no flood insurance and they keep rebuilding in the same place! Dumb asses!
