My salary has more than tripled in that relatively short time period. If you aren't a lazy ass, and work hard anyone can do the same thing in this country.

On to Allende. He was democratically elected by a minority. The revolution was going to happen and the CIA just kind of helped it along. I saw an interesting documentary the other day specifically about the revolution. Even the leftists on there said the country was better off now than it would have been under Allende.
