anyone nkow if the 05 will have a supercharger option?????? Also, I've looked and I can't find anyone that has superchargers for the 04's. I looked in the forums and nothing, any ideas?

04 is the last year with the supercharger, but the 05 will have more HP and torque. the 04 sc has 210hp the 05 has around 260hp, but not supercharger.

Welp, to ghank a few pics off another board... No, the 2005 won't have a supercharger option. But from the SEMA show, it appears that there is/will be an aftermarket one, and it boosts the power very, very significantly (read: 310 hp to the rear wheels...):

With 260-something hp, I don't see the need for an SC, but some people just can't be satisfied. There are SC kits for the 350Z w/ the VQ35 engine, probably not too much of a stretch to do one on a VQ40.

Seriously, 310hp on a light truck, what's the point?

Mud bogging? Sled pulling? heavy trailer tow?

'cause plain offroad driving demands no where near that much power. Hell, I'm perfectly satisfied with 170 hp. Many Land Rovers don't have half as much as that and they run circles around the world.

It looks like a Stillen S/C. I believe they are the only one who installs a roots type on the motor (3.5L anyway), everyone else is centrifugal.

The Toyota X-runner has 300hp, but that's crank hp versus 378 crank hp with an estimated 18% drivetrain loss.

I'm assuming since it's stillen (or stealin') its gonna run about 4 or 5 g's
