I think not thanking anyone is a psycological reaction to being a publicly exposed jackass. They just want to get the hell outa there. I'm not knocking anyone for attempting the mud hole, thats what everyone is out there for.

I pulled out a wrecker stuck on the beach on night and got no thanks or anything. He was out there looking for people to pull out and charge them $50. Maybe I shouldn't have unhooked from him until he payed me.
