The only thing you really gotta worry about are road closures.

I know up here, avalanches happen a lot and can close roads down without warning. If youre stuck in a line of cars with no where to go, you could be waiting awhile, maybe up to 4-8 hours. anyone who lives in the pacific region knows that it can dump bigtime in no time. so prepare for whatever you think youre comfortable with. good luck
