My Shrockworks front bumper just came in this week and I got it installed yesterday with the help of a friend.

I got the 2in BL version of the bumper, and we lifted the bumper as high as the front end bolts would let it go, but the gap is still a little larger than I thought, about 1"-1.5" Is this normal? My firend has a shrock bumper w/o BL and only has about a .5" gap for flexing.

Anyway, the bumper is awesome. Can't wait to start hitting deer with it! j/k. Also got those 2 extra holes drilled per side so it's solid as a rock.

Nope, I didn't notice any droop when I put it on. After a few off-roading trips, I've heard that it does start to droop and I'll have to crank the T-bars some. I still have the stock T-bars on too.

I heard that shrocks bumpers dont work with a 2 inch body lift. I dont know how true that is? can anyone shed some light on this?
I also heard in order for it to fit you need to make some custom bumper mounts.

The gap isn't that bad, looks great! I want to add a 2 inch body lift but I don't want a huge gap between the bumper and grill.
You should paint your grill and headlight trim black, would look pretty sick! Just my 2 cents. Here's mine with painted grill, to give you an idea, would look good on your black X.

No, the Shrockworks bumper comes in a 2" body lifted version for an extra $45. That's what I got. You also have to drill 2 extra holes in each side of the frame horns if you plan on using it for winching.

For calmini, arb, tmj, there is a large gap 2"-3" that you either have to fab a custon bracket or weld an extra box on top of the frame horns to raise it.

Cool, that does look pretty sweet! That may be my next project for the X. What paint did you use? I used Rustoleum hammered black on the sliders and wheels, but it's a slightly lighter black than the body/shrock powdercoating. Maybe a flat or metallic black?

I was going to post pictures of my weekend project, 2 inch body lift and front bumper... But you saved mt the time. And I have about an inch and a half gap as well, even though it says 3/4 in the instructions. I tried everything to close it up and no luck.

That would look really good on your X or RIXterra's X, I'd use a semi-flat black. You can get spraypaint that is made specifically for plastic. I used a glossy black on the fender trim, bad idea. Doesn't look right, I plan on painting that and the trim on the doors and the rear quarters a semi-flat black soon.

The Shrock Bumper Looks Good lykofos...I'm Planning on getting mine as soon as I Pay Off My X, that would be around 2 Months, got 2 more Payments to go, and that Baby is All Mine....Whewwwwww!!!!

Yeah, I still run the stock bars as well and my front end dropped just a little bit. I need to crank the torsion bars a little as well.

Remember we talked about my front end a little lower than your X when I was in Pittsburgh? Well, that's what it'll sag down to, pretty much after a few months or so.
