It was so good I had to play it over and over again. He never let up on the gas even after hitting the tree. If that poor Toyota keeps getting trashed like that it is going need to be tubed out within the year.
See you in Moab!

I went browsing through the videos on that site. http://www.latechsupport.net/offroad/Videos/ The FJs have made three mistakes. First, they need better tires. Second, they need less pedal. Third, they need to stop wheeling with Jeep and Landcruiser drivers that think it's all a great joke to bring the noob out to watch him break his new toy trying to keep up with them.

Geez. It was just a fender. Bent the shit out of his bumper, too, but that's what it's there for. You bunch of pansies ought to quit acting like you're offroaders if you think that damage was any big deal. This guy is at least willing to go balls out with his rig, and y'all are making fun of him for it. Wow. Besides, body panels are just there to protect the drivetrain... God. This place really is full of a bunch of pansy ass grocery gettin' mall crawlers afterall.

There is balls out and then not beng very smart about it. 1. He had so much speed he actually launched his vehicle in the air. 2. You obviously have to make a sligh turn to make it to the water hole. 3. He is either stupid, a total noob, or does not care (if it lack of caring then that is the type of ass hat that gets trails shut down and he needs to get off the trails). I fail to see how in this case balls out was any good. No matter how I look at it all I see is Dumb and Dumber.

x2 to Alpine Spirit's comments.
If one were to see video of five minutes before this incident, I guarantee you'd see one of two things:
1. The FJ trying to go through at a decent speed and getting hung up (winch 'em out or back up and try it again faster) or
2. The group of fellows downing a few beers and talking smack about the FJ's capabilities.
Anyway, I noticed he pretty much got hung up in the water hole afterwards, which is what he might have been trying to get through by going faster from the outset. Note the front passenger tire lifting a roostertail just after he comes to a stop.

I am ok with body damage, but there is no way in hell that I'm going to drive like a retard because of my attitude about body damage. And every trail I drive without body damage I consider a success. Don't really know where your Mall comment is coming from...
