Use this
Quite Car as a spray in dampener and then spray over it with some type of liner of your choice.
Some, and I can remmeber who, have taken out their carpet and found it way too hot and noisey and have had to put it back. The Quiet car should help with the heat and of course the noise.
It's paintable also.

Still this whole area of noise reduction is $$$$.
