Go back where the vasiline was and make sure the connections of the wire are good(like where they attached the new horn). Also make sure the horn is mounted securely and there is no rust between the horn and the frame (I'm thinking the horn may have lost a good ground). If you have a multimeter or test light, test the wire that supplies power to the horn and it should show 12 volts when pressing the horn( your gonna need a buddy). If it doesn't, it's pretty easy to say the horn is done. Yes, they are pretty inexpensive. Good luck
