Does anybody know if the in dash six disk changer that comes in the 2002 SE model will fit in the 2002 XE model and work properly??

I'm guessing the SE disc changer won't work with the XE head unit:

But I'm sure that with some modifications it could work...

If I'm understanding your question correctly, the answer is YES. The '02 SE 6 disc radio easly swaps out with the '02 XE radio. How do I know you ask. I did it myself in about five minutes. You will, however, need to hook up an amp with speaker level inputs to replace the RF amp that comes with the SE radio. If you hook up the radio w/o the amp, there is barely enough power (about half the volume as the stock XE radio). I suppose they didn't need to have a high output out of the SE radio since it was going to be used with the RF amp anyway, therefore the low volume.

Good luck an let me know if you need anymore info.

Wait, wait..

Are you saying there is an in-dash 6 disc changer?

Or are you talking about the In dash CD player that has the controls for the 6 disc changer?

Edited to change disk to disc , muhaha smile

I was on e-bay and there is a guy selling his stock 2002 in-dash 6 disk changer and amp. Thought I might look into it. Looks like everybody else wants it to! Thanks.
