I have the 6 disc changer in my X. What I am wondering is if I upgrade the unit to an aftermarket unit, will my Steering Wheel remote still work?

There are some head units that allow an irda connection, so you'd have to do some custom work, but there are a few that have done it. Some headunits will have their own steering whell controls, though I like the stock ones much better. Try searching this forum, as there are some who have done it.

If you use the search function, you'll find a similar post that I posted a while back. I've put an order through Crutchfield to get the unit (read about it in the posts).
