Ijust bought my X this past weekend Thank you..thank you. I going to change out the head unit. I am working with a $400 - $500 budget and was wondering what everyone's opinion on what the best buy would be.

Thanks

Check crutchfield.com --- They have a nice selection of double-din cd/tape combos if you're interested in those (I like the JVC one or Kenwood, but the latter will cost you more as the JVC one is $399). Or you can just browse around there and fill in the double-din opening with two single din units...one being the head unit itself and the other a graphic equalizer of some sort (Kenwood is a good way to go for that set-up). Hope that helps a little...good luck and congrats on your wise purchase...

I have an Alpine that is probably over four years old. If I remember correctly, I paid about $500 for it. It skipped once, and they sent me a new one, no questions asked. It has been moved between several audio competition vehicles and does a great job.

Crutchfield is way too expensive.

Hey Sham365...

What a great site! Just bought a new Subwoofer for my home and I bet I'll buy a LOT more from there as well.

Thanks for the link!
